What Are the Eligibility Requirements for These Business Immigration Programs? 

Each program has their list of requirements. Here is a list of combined requirements, however, most programs are not this exhaustive or restrictive:

• Starting a business or acquiring a business
• Have been and are the current owner of an existing operational business
• Relevant business experience such in management or operations
• Specific business experience in a specific industry or business model
• Required to own and operate the business
• Minimum ownership percentages
• Allowance of partnerships and/or investors
• Requires a comprehensive business plan that satisfies government eligibility requirements
• Require further investment over a set number of years
• Require good faith deposit amounts that are refundable
• Exploratory visits to a chosen region, province or territory
• Mandatory residence requirements within a chosen region, province or territory
• Language proficiency requirements in English, French or both
